Abstract

Achondroplasia is an inherited disorder with the characteristic appearance of disproportionate short stature. We examined constitutional symptoms and dental findings in a girl patient, who had diagnosed as achondroplasia. The following results were obtained: 1) The occlusion condition showed an Angle Class III malocclusion and anterior openbite. 2) The abnormality of tooth form, tooth number and development of the tooth could not be observed. 3) Cephalometric analysis showed that short of posterior cranial base and skeletal Class III with severe protrusion of the mandible.
