Drift seeds of the genus Intsia(Leguminosae on the coast of Japanese Islands were studied. Two species were drifted; I. bijuga and I. palembanica which have been confused. The seeds of I. bijuga is broadly ellipitic and averaged 26.9 mm in length, 23.3 mm in width, 7.7 mm in height. The seeds of I. palembanica is oblong to obovate and averaged 37.3 mm in length, 25.1 mm in width, 11.1 mm in height. The length and the height were significantly different between them.
