Eco drive is a driving technique designed to improve fuel economy, reduce carbon dioxide and mitigate the adverse impacts of road transport
on its global environment. This paper investigates the effect of ecodrive program among drivers driving behavior and vehicle parameters during eco drive training. Twenty seven candidate drivers and vehicles equipped with on board data logging equipment were considered in the study. Drivers were also administered with questionnaire before and after training. The study has successfully demonstrated the effect of eco drive program with respect to drivers behavior in relation to fuel efficiency and its improvement after the program, improvement during idling stop and improvement during acceleration.
