Abstract
Public transportation in modern urban cities has drastically increased awareness for the importance of, and interest in, research on public transportation levels is of great interest. In this study, in 2009, bus operating efficiencies for the entire system using smart card data in Seoul in administrative positions were examined. The evaluation criteria included the total number of passengers and the number of sections again with each section applied to a service level. Evaluation of the operational efficiency for the bus system in Seoul in providing quality services to passengers and future direction for the operation of the entire public transportation system is presented. Information from the congestion of buses seems to suggest the need and utilization of more research in the future.
