In case of considering driver's visual feature, it is important to consider that where the drivers look ahead and how the drivers process such kind of visual information during driving. The objective is to indicate driver's preview behavior to cope with the many kinds of situations of every day driving. A number of studies have attempted to quantify the preview behaviors, although study results are not consistent. We performed literature search about driver's preview behaviors based on previous studies. Based on reviewing results, it is found that the preview time is generally longer than required time for the driver's information process, and the minimum preview time to keep the vehicle stable was around 3 seconds. It might be concluded that preview time is good index to show driver's performance and comfortableness.
