About 60 to 80 percent of greenhouse gases in the transportation field around the world are known to be emitted by road traffic. While being relatively small considering the road's contributing portion in transportation, the value implies that there are big room for reduction of greenhouse gases from road traffic. The present paper provides reviews of existing study of various potentials of reduction of greenhouse gas in road traffic. Those include reduction from improvement in traffic management and from improvement of highway geometrics as well as drivers behavior.
