A Study of Recovery from Shocks Lead by Crisis in the Field of Tourism

Abstract

The inbound tourism industry, can benefit the aging society, is very weak that can be easily affect by many kinds of reasons. Most of the past research analyzed from tourism travel intention and make improvement to the response policy to help to improve the recovery speed. However, there only few studies characteristic the length that respond policy need to have. Therefore, by totally targeting 60 target cases from WTTC's selection, this research focused on disease, natural disaster, rebellion, and terrorism in order to clarifies the recovery length and recovery probability at each time period after crisis occurred for these four types of crises. This research also came out 15 influential factors about crisis and original situation and used Weibull Distribution to examine the recovery probability. As the result, different spans of Business Continuity Planning had come out for each target types of crises.
