Abstract

Following the serial signal transmission speed become faster, pre-emphasis technique in output circuit, passive equalizer technique between driver and receiver or active equalizer technique before or in receiver circuit is employed to compensate the frequency dependent loss of transmission line, such as. But these techniques have some demerits. So we had proposed a new technique inserting high-impedance transmission line as one of solution of previous demerits, explained the principle, and shown very effective improvements for eye patterns after transmitted 1m PCB line. After this presentation we have studied influences of several packaging conditions such as transmission line loss, parasitic capacitance in receiver, short blanch, etc. In this paper we present these results.
