Static 19F-NMR measurements were performed using a high-resolution solid nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer. Samples used were 10BIMFn, whose phase sequences show the even-odd behavior with the length of their chiral chains. Dipole coupling constant was larger in the antiferroelectric compounds (n=8,10) than that in ferroelectric ones (n=7,9). From this result, it was found that the molecular conformation around the chiral part in SmC* is different from that in SmC*A.
