Abstract
Nematic liquid crystal-solid transition curves were calculated for terminal polar-nonpolar nematic mixtures by means of regular solution theory, which is one of the thermodynamic treatments for non ideal systems. In this report, the solubility parameters of the components comprising a mixture were used to calculate the activity coefficient. As a resull, a deviation from the ideal behavior is attributed to the differences in the solubility parameters.
