A Holographic Polymer Dispersed Liquid Cryslals (HPDLC) device has a periodicaily stratified struclure comprised of the LC and polymer layers. It has been remained an important issue, to reduce the drive voltage to gel low power operation of the display device. The drive voltage of an HPDLC cell was Jowered using a dopant. The dopant has perfluoro alkyl and hydroxyl moieties. The saturation vollage was found to be redueed to half of the voltage required for the HPDLC without the dopant.
