3D08 弱いアンカリング効果を利用した面内電界制御による液晶回転偏光板

抄録

We propose a novel type liquid crystal (LC) micro optical device using a weak anchoring substrate. The LC cells are prepared using 8-devided hole-patterned electrodes which are coated by alignment films with different azimuthal anchoring energy. When using the weak anchoring substrate, the polarization direction can be controlled by the applying in-plane electric field, and wavelength mdependent properties can be obtained.
