2PC05 スウィッチャブル偏光板を用いた反射型LCD : 垂直配向GH-Cellの利用

Reflective LCDs using switchable polarizers, which are GH-nematic homeotropic cells together with a quarter wavelength sheet and a metallic reflector, have been fabricated and their performance were measured. By choosing an advanced dichroic dye stuff, it is shown that the white state at the quiescent state is better that with a polarizer and also that quite good contrast ratio is obtained with our approach.
