抄録
The heat capacity measurements have been made on bent-shaped liquid crystals 12AM5AM12 and 160AM5AM016. A high presicion ac calorimeter has been used for the measurement. For both materials, distinct peaks in the heat capacity were observed at the isotropic-smectic, and the smectic-crystal phase transitions. The stability of the smectic phase is also discussed.
