Abstract
New approach in LCD research by utilizing nanotechnology is likely to provide a positive trend in the generation of new possibility in liquid crystal applications. We demonstrate that various types of Nematic Liquid Crystal Display (NLCD)^1 such as Twisted Nematic (TN), Tunable Birefringence (TB) and VA-LCD, which are doped with Pd nanoparticles coated with nematic material that possesses either inverse sign or same sign of dielectric anisotropy as that of host Nematic LC medium exhibit frequency dependence phenomena (as shown in Figure 1).
