PB07 4-ヒドロキシトロポンをコアに有する液晶分子の合成(化学・材料)

抄録

New troponoid liquid crystals with a 4-hydroxytropone core were prepared. Tropon-4-yl 4-n-alkoxybenzoates (1) had a monotropic smectic A phase. However the corresponding benzenoid derivatives were not mesomorphic. X-ray diffraction studies revealed that 1 formed the interdigitated bilayers in the smectic A phase.
