1A20 Optical Design of High Performance Front Projection Display System

Abstract

Various large size displays such as PDF, large screen LCD and projection-display have been developed. In these displays, projection-displays are promising because of their compact size, high resolution and low cost. However, the screen has a problem that contrast ratio decreases under the bright ambient light condition. In this paper, we propose a new front projection display system providing high contrast ratio even if the room is bright condition by designing ambient light control screen.
