抄録

A novel liquid crystalline phthalocyanine-based macrodiscotic molecule 2 has been synthesized. Two different ways of synthesis for the present compound 2 were performed. The mesomorphism has been investigated by polarizing microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and temperature-dependent X-ray diffraction technique. The compound 2 showed three Col_r mesophases and decomposed at about 300℃.
