We have studied transport of nano-sized colloidal particles dispersed in lyotropic lamellar phase of nonionic surfactant by electrophoretic light scattering spectroscopy. Two relaxation modes are found in the obtained spectrum of complex electrophoretic mobility. At the highest frequency region, particles diffuse rather freely under the influence of confinement between membranes. The possible mechanisms for the higher frequency relaxation are discussed by taking into account the dynamics of membranes.
