PB13 Electronic and Optical Properties of Rare-Earth Metal Containing Metallomesogens and Their Molecular Orientation Effects

Abstract

Rare earth, especially lanthanoide complexes, have attracted much attention as electroluminescent materials, because of high quantum yield of luminescence, narrow emission band, long life time and so on. On the other hand, since their complexes have magnetic moment, the control of molecular can be expected by introducing mesogens into their ligands under external magnetic field. In this study we have presented electronic and optical properties of rare earth metal containing metallomesogens and their orientation effects.
