Optical properties in composite of liquid crystal and periodic structure fabricated using pulse holographic lithography

Abstract

Electrical tuning of the light diffraction has been demonstrated in the periodic structure infiltrated with nematic liquid crystal.The one- and two-dimensional periodic structures have been fabricated by means of holographic lithography using interference beams of pulsed laser.The diffraction efficiency of the liquid crystal infiltrated grating could be controlled upon applying electric field.
