Abstract
Anisotropic photoreaction and orientation control in photocrosslinkable polymer liquid crystal film were performed based on axis-selective two-photon excitation and following triplet energy transfer, using a linearly polarized femtosecond pulse laser at a wavelength of 800 nm. Molecular orientation was controlled parallel to the polarization of the laser with in-plane order parameter of +0.75. Superior axis selection for the two-photon excitation of the triplet photosensitizer compared to that for one-photon excitation led to great reorientational value of the film.
