Abstract
Although In-Plane-Switching (IPS) LCDs are known to show excellent image quality, further improvement of the quality has been required from display markets. A photo-alignment method is suitable for LC alignment in fabrication of IPS-LCDs, but some drawbacks of the method has been pointed out so far. In this paper, we show the method to solve the drawbacks of a photo-alignment method by using a polymer-surface-stabilized method.
