Abstract
A liquid crystal lens that has the thin insulation layer and the high-resistivity layer, the drive of several V is possible. Moreover, the image formation switch by several tens of ms is possible by using the over-drive method. However, the response characteristic to the impressed voltage slows compared with a past structure was seen. In the present study, these characteristics are considered referring to the shape etc. of the electrical potential distribution in the insulation layer, and it reports on the outcome of an experiment related to the method that can be driven at high speed or more.
