Abstract
Chiral [poly(bithienylenephenylene), PBTP] derivatives were synthesized through the polycondensations of achiral monomers in thermally helicity-controllable chiral nematic liquid crystal (N∗-LC) reaction field. The thermally helicity-controllable N∗-LC provided us with two kinds of helically π-stacked structures conjugated polymers with opposite helical sense depending on the polymerization temperature.
