Abstract
Alkylated benzothieno[3,2-b][1]benzothiophenes (Cn-BTBT) have been known as a high-mobility liquid crystalline organic semiconductor. The side-chain of liquid crystalline semiconductors enormously affects to their characteristics such as a crystallinity and charge-transport properties. In this research, we measured the charge-transport properties of C8-BTBT which was oriented by using photo-aligned self-assembled monolayers, and newly synthesized the benzothieno[3,2-b][1] benzothiophene derivatives containing carbonyl group in the alkyl side-chain.
