Abstract
The transmission spectrum of a metallic nanohole array can be switched by using the birefringence of liquid crystals. In this study, we calculated the transmittance spectra of a metallic hole array infiltrated with a liquid crystal by the finite element method and revealed the component of the permittivity tensor of liquid crystal that is dominant in determining the transmittance spectrum.
