PA55 ナノミセルコアに閉じ込められた液晶の層秩序(ソフトマター,ポスター発表,2015年日本液晶学会討論会)

抄録

We succeeded in fabricating the smectic A (SmA)-liquid-crystalline nano-micelles (LCNMs) by introducing SmA liquid crystals (LCs) in their core parts. We investigated the confinement effect on the SmA-nematic (N) phase transition of liquid crystals in the core parts of LCNMs. We measured temperature dependence of the correlation length of the layer order by the synchrotron X-ray scattering experiment. Then, it was revealed that the correlation length does not diverge at the SmA-N phase transition temperature as observed in the bulk state, and continuously develops below the phase transition temperature.
