The photorefractive property of the photoconductive ferroelectric liquid crystalline blends was investigated. The mixtures composed of the photoconductive chiral dopants, liquid crystals and electron acceptor exhibit large gain coefficients in two beam coupling experiment. To clarify the influence of the ferroelectricity of the liquid crystal on the photorefractive properties, mixtures of photoconductive chiral dopants containing a chiral and a non-chiral compound was prepared. The photorefractive properties of these samples were examined by two beam coupling experiment.
