Properties of liquid crystal are strongly affected even by small amount of additives, showing the high responsiveness. Therefore, liquid crystals can be expected to sensor applications. In this study, we aim to develop a device, which can analyze the nucleotide sequence of DNA, by utilizing liquid crystal. In this research, we investigated the characteristics of liquid crystals doped with DNA molecules formed by different bases.
