高性能ＬＣＤのためのインセル型偏光フィルムの作製および評価

A coatable guest host type (GH type) polarizer combined with a polarization converting (PC) film has been studied for reali zing a high performance in cell polarizer. By using a photo alignment and a unidirectional coating method s as molecular alignment processes , we improve the optical performance of a PC film composing of a cholesteric LC film and a λ/4 plate . As the results, we finally succeed in making a pixe l ized GH type polarizer having the contrast ratio over ~ 1000.
