Effect of cell sealant on flexoelectric coefficient measurement

Abstract

The advantage of our original measurement method by means of transmission ellipsometry isthat the two flexoelectric coefficients can be measuredwith using single liquid crystal cell. However, it was uncertain why the measurement accuracy was not as good as expected. In this study, based on asupposition as such that the cause is contamination from the epoxy resin adhesive,the effect of adhesive on measurement under AC and/or DC applied voltage was investigated.
