Cholesteric blue phases (BPs) continue to attract interest for their fast response times. Controlling the orientation of BP is important as it determines the behavior of light propagating through the device. In our previous research, it has been reported that the crystal orientation can be controlled by applying an electric field normal to the substrate and then rearrangement it. However, rearrangement mechanism has not yet been elucidated. In this study, in order to investigate the effect of electric field application on the lattice rearrangement, the lattice arrangement when the in-plane field was applied was evaluated, and the field direction effect on the lattice rearrangement was examined.
