Liquid Crystal Wavefront Control Devices with Periodic Pre-tilt Angle Distribution Induced by UV-Irradiation

Abstract

We develop a control method of pretilt angle using a surface modification of polyimide film by ultra-violet (UV) irradiation. This study fabricates a liquid crystal (LC) light wavefront control device with periodic pretilt angle distribution by this alignment method and evaluates the electro-optical properties.
