アゾールをホスト骨格に含むカラムナー液晶: 二成分系への展開

抄録

We here report the development of new azole dimers and timers as a mesogen for columnar liquid crystals. Since mesogens with azole moieties can form hydrogen bonding with small guest molecules, their LC behavior can be potentially be tuned by changing the kinds of guest molecules. For the case of imidazole trimer, the LC behavior could be tuned by adding 4-chlorobenzoic acid and by changing the ratio.
