SmA-SmC^* (SmCA^*)転移の次数と相関関数 II

抄録

The method to determine the order of phase transition is proposed, which is based on the analysis of the divergent behaviour of the correlation function. This method is applied to the phase transitions between SmA and SmCA^* which can be described by the Ising model of S=1. In addition to this model the three body interaction within the smectic layer is taken into account, which comes from the mobility of the molecular position to avoid overlapping between molecules. The correlation function and other physical quantities are calculated by MC simulation.
