Abstract

In this study, we synthesized a homologous series of cholesteryl-ω-hydrofluoroalkylthionate (SCHFA) [C₂₇H₄₅SC(O)(CF₂-CF₂)nH N=:1〜4], and investigated their mesomorphic phase transitions. In SCHFA, a liquid crystalline phase was found only for the n=4 homologues
