Thresholdless antiferroelectric liquid crystals (TL-AFLCs) are promising materials for fast-response and wide-viewing-angle TFT-LCDs. The previously reported eqtrivalent circuit model which describe the electro-optical response of the material is compared with a reversal polarization model of SSFLCs, and it is shown that in some conditions they correspond each other. Furthermore, the equivalent circuit model is modified to include the dependence of the response speed on applied voltage.
