Date of correction: November 27, 2008Reason for correction: -Correction: ABSTRACTDetails: Wrong : In Protein fiber industry the estimation of viscosity was the only method used for measuring the properties of spinning solution. The determination of the dergee of ripeness of the spinning solution as used in the Viscose Rayon Industry is also necessary in this case for analytical control of the operation. Therefore some test was carried on and found that the inorganic salt solution used individually was unsuitable for this purpose but dilute formaline solution gives a quite favorable result. The test is made by diluting 30 grams of the spinning solution (containing about 14% protein) with 20 cc of water and running in a 0.3% formaline and 15% sodium sulfate mixture used is a measure of the ripeness. By this method the degree of Soybean protein spinning solution could be determined. During the determination the temperature must kept constant to obtain good result. This result is little affected by the viscosity of the spinning solution.
