The Study of Pencil Sharped Buildings at Ginza

Abstract

Pencil sharped buildings stands in the area of urban conquestion. They are inferior to ordinary buildings in safety. Especially it is difficult to people to escape from there when it gets fire. We investigated the current problems and situation about 100 buildings at Ginza Chuou-ku Tokyo. Investigate substances are the length and the ratio of the side, the establishment situation of refuge course, the kind of antemural materials, and the kind of signation. We examined the appropriate methed of the pencil sharped buildings, taking into account the above-mentioned findings.
