Study of VOC Reduction by Tio₂ Photo-catalysy Treated Ceramic Form

Abstract

Volatil organic compounds(VOC)caused paints,interior materials,furniture and smoking is becoming serious problem.The authors developed TiO₂ photo-catalyst terated ceramic form and studied the decomposition rate of acetaldehyde by using special designed chamber which have UV light and acetaldehyde gas monitoring equipment.We reported that UV spectra,UV strength and amount of TiO₂ onto ceramic form have effect on decomposition rqte of acetaldehyde.In case of TiO₂ photo-catalyst treated ceramic form cleaning,Alkaline cleaning have serious damage to TiO₂ photo-catalyst,therfor author recommend water washing.
