Part3 Examination of the Accelerated Test Method for Stain

Abstract

The accelerated test method has become to be more important in the evaluating performance for exterior finishing materials. Therefore, the authors have studied in order to propose the appropriate standard test method. This paper describes the results of the examination for the accelerated test method of evaluating stain on the exterior coating materials. As the result of those, the pre-treatment for coating materials showing as the same water contact angles as the surfaces of test specimens exposed in outdoor for three months should be needed. Furthermore, the most appropriate test procedure of soiling was selected.
