Estimation Method of Weatherability for Exterior Coating Materials using Chemiluminescense

Abstract

In this study, we performed a basic study of measurement conditions for Chemiluminescence (CL). And we examined that the durability for exterior coating materials can be evaluated by CL. As a result, it was confirmed that it was possible to estimate weatherability for exterior coating materials in a short period of time of xenon-arc lamps type accelerated weathering test. Furthermore, possibility of lifetime prediction of exterior coating material by reaction kinetics was suggested.
