Abstract
Recently, although, they’ve been attacked by natural disasters, some regional areas where is used indigenous materials and weren’t caught in disasters in Japan. That is why, these indigenous materials would have been played an important role for conserving historical townscape. Also, in Japan there has been a culture that have taste for the soil color for a long time. Therefore, this research focused on the characteristics of indigenous plaster materials which has been produced local areas in Japan. The color of plaster all over Japan was measured by a color-difference meter to obtain L*a*b* color values. Therefore, they’re evaluated characteristic of color from the viewpoint of locality.
