Influence of Construction Condition Factors on Adhensive Performance at Exterior Tile Finishing Using Organic Adhesives

Abstract

The application of exterior tile finishing method using organic adhesives has increased because of expected to prevent tiles from falling away. However there are risks that the surface coating material and the water-containing state of the tile underlayer may affect the adhesive performance, and there are some points to pay attention in tile work.In addition, the tiling method not filling the joints for the design requirement and the method of embedding the connecting material on the back side of the tile into the adhesive at the time of tiles are installed, and their influence on the adhensive performance is not clear.This paper describes the result of a adhesive strength test focusing on construction condition factors which can affect the adhesive performance of exterior tile finishing using organic adhesives.
