Standardization of Organic Adhesives for Bonding Interior Floor Tiles.

Part 2 Evaluation of Loading Test.

Abstract

In Japanese Architectural Standard Specification for bonding ceramic tile work (JASS19), it is stipulated to use organic adhesive conforming to Japanese Industrial Standard for organic adhesives for ceramic tiles (JIS A 5548:2003) when bonding the floor ceramic tile. However, according to JIS A 5548, organic adhesives used for floor ceramic tiling are not specified. Therefore, in order to verify the difference of the organic adhesive, a ceramic tile bonded floor was prepared and a load test of the floor was carried out. The method for load test was referred to from Methods of Testing Performance of Quality Housing Components Interior Floor-units (BLT IU:2013).
