Part2. The outdoor-exposure test results of "combined coatings of anodic oxide and organic coatings" and "powder coatings" for 5 years

Abstract

Combined coatings of anodic oxide and organic coatings (hereinafter, this is called "composite coatings") on aluminium is widely used for building material in Japan, but not very common overseas. Meanwhile, powder coating that is popular in Europe and Southeast Asia, began to spread in Japan recently. In order to spread composite coatings to overseas, durability of the coatings have to be verified. Therefore, we conducted outdoor-exposure tests for composite coatings and powder coating in 7 areas of 6 countries with different climate conditions over Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and Asia. In this study, we discuss the influence of climate conditions to the deterioration of the coatings by time.
