There is a background that the use of domestic timber to building is required. It is important to understand the deterioration tendency of domestically produced timber by exterior use by type. The wood has different density and oil content depending on the tree species, and in the case of painting, the impregnation of the paint is different depending on the type and density of the wood. So we painted Japanese cedar, Japanese cypress, Aomori cypress, Japanese larch, Japanese zelkova tree, Japanese cherry with different kinds of translucent wood coating materials (impregnated type, film forming type, semi-made film type) It was evaluated by accelerated weathering test. As a result, domestically produced timber (unpainted wood) in exterior use had a difference in deterioration depending on the tree species, and even when the same painting was applied, it was found that there was a difference in deterioration depending on the tree species. Regardless of tree species, the film formation type showed less deterioration and was a good result.
