Part1: Concept and Results of Fixing strength of screws and fixing hardwares

Abstract

In this series of reports, we devised a method of fixing hardware with screws, which is a simple member and has displacement following properties, and verified its performance for practical application. This paper reports the outline of the fixing hardware fixing method, required performance, and performance verification. The results of verification of the fixing strength against the force acting in the out-of-plane direction related to the wind pressure resistance and the displacement follow-up property against the strain generated in the in-plane direction such as the thermal shrinkage of the tile and the drying shrinkage of the precast concrete plate are reported.
