Flood hazard survey on building insulation

Abstract

The damage due to flooding hazard in Japan is still increasing in number as well as in recovery cost. In the aim to propose appropriate material selection method to mitigating flooding damages, this paper reports experimental comparison of insulations after water immersion. Drying speed of insulation materials were compared for various type of materials, construction method and inundation time. The experimental results were compared with the field survey results of flooding hazard to verify the validity.
